October 14, 2000 our club participated in the New Glarus, Wisconsin Fall Harvest Parade. This was quite a festive day in New Glarus with many events in the park, as well as around town. There was traditional Swiss music by the Mannchoir as well as children's Choir, Yodeling and Alphorns. Farm wagon rides, bake sale, Brat stand, local historical displays plus Arts and Crafts area. Brewery Tours at New Glarus Brewery, clowns and plenty of family fun. Many also checked out the Swiss Historical Village (original Swiss settlement) up on top of the hill on the west side of town. Our dogs were quite a hit. Special thanks to Michael Knox for setting up this wonderful event where our dogs' heritage could be enjoyed by all!
